Can't hurt me

Our Online Nutrition Program is up and running now today and we are looking forward to changing some mind sets regarding Diet & Nutrition


I pushed it hard as wanted to see how it would go and also get rid of anyone on this list who's just lurking about


and it managed to run off pretty well even though I didn't get as many cranky "Stop emailing me you Muppet" type emails as I thought so maybe I wasn't aggressive enough


Something to think about for again though...


Anyhoo,


Thought I would try a little book review that I just started listening to on audiobook this week


It's called


Can't Hurt Me


by David Goggins


I had heard about him but didn't know anything about him and his book came up as a recommendation on Audible so I thought I'd try it out


I've read/ listened to no amount of these books over the years and while I'm around half way through this one it has to be up there


His story is pretty remarkable to be fair 


and his thought's on Mental toughness and the complaining people do is not for the faint of heart


He has the world record for pull ups in 24 hours by doing 4'030 in 17 hours and his stories about Navy Seal training are incredible


and really make you question yourself for feeling sorry for yourself during a long run at footie training, a tough swim lesson or not being in the mood for your weight's session.


He had a really interesting story about being bullied and being called Fat for a long time


Until he got home one day


Looked at himself in the mirror and said


"You know what, these guys are right. I'm a Fat ass mutha fukcr"


And when he needed to lose something 300lbs (21 stone) in 3 months he did so with a MENTAL training and diet program 


that definitely wouldn't be recommend by anyone


But the hunger, desire and self discipline to complete it is something else


^^^^^ The Navy Seal training stories are incredible as well


And in our moddly coddly world where we should all just love ourselves for no apparent reason


Maybe it's good to look at our weaknesses and think


"I need to get my shizzle together and sort this out"


So if you need something to listen to for those drives to work or something to read throughout the day I would highly recommend it


And be sure to remember to start the week right
