Would you believe I haven't scrolled through Instagram since the 8th of April
it's the day after we came back from honeymoon and had been thinking about it even before we left
the FB app also got the KO but I do check it from time to time, especially on the laptop as I be on it a lot for business
Even though it's great to get rid of the Social Media side of things it's mainly just a habit to grab the phone and look through nonsense on it
It really is just such a time drain from the things that could be productive for us and it's just a habit to grab the phone and look through it....
More productive things to be done are:
Run the business, even a 10 minute scroll on Social Media could be 5-10 emails & FB enquiries to reply to
Read - Leaving your phone out of the Bedroom and just having your book at your bedside will improve your reading no end
Chill/ watch TV
Anything after that just isn't a good use of time
Most of the Facebook stuff can be done off the Laptop and Lorraine has taken then reigns with Instagram so that's her baby,
with me keeping an eye on her of course :)
And it has improved the amount of reading I'm getting done and to be honest I should still be getting more done if I was more disciplined
But when putting the phone in another room it can just improve head space and help to relax
And this is massively important for our stress levels day to day and then obviously our Health & Fitness
There's a really interesting video on the impact of Social Media here at the link, it's 90 minutes long but even just watching `10-20 minutes of it is very interesting
He even talks about how the fashion industry created this image of women being sickly thin as it suited their narrative of sexy
even though studies have shown men prefer curvy women,
